Turbocharger control systems
Fraňová, Zuzana ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
This thesis is of a search character with primary focus on turbocharger control systems. The work is divided into two main parts. The first part is focused on turbocharging fundamentals and the second part deals with turbocharger control systems (wastegate, VNT, VGT) and actuation of these systems.
Turbocharging of combustion engines
Kadleček, Jiří ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Vančura, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis presents the construction and function of the main types of mechanic turbocharging systems. Furthermore, it contains the analysis of regulating elements and the last chapter involves also the description of the newest trends in the field of turbocharging.
Variable turbocharger turbine geometry
Řezáč, Vojtěch ; Dlugoš, Jozef (referee) ; Drápal, Lubomír (advisor)
This thesis is dedicated to design of turbocharger’s boost pressure regulation using variable turbine geometry. In this thesis are mapped commonly used methods of turbine flow regulation. With respect to all information collected there were created new designs which were compared between each other and with currently used Garrett VNT system focusing on performance, flow area and operating forces which were obtained using advanced numerical methods in ADAMS View software. At the end of this thesis are presented benefits and drawbacks of each design. In the very end are presented next steps in further development.
Design of VGT Valve Test Device
Kozelský, Aleš ; Štohl, Petr (referee) ; Matoušek, Radomil (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis in concerned in description of design of testing device for proportional spool & sleeve valves for Norgren company. It describes the main principles of this valve, his operating and testing. The 3D model of this station is attached.
